Very beautiful, just missing cowboys and Indians. Greetings.

Thanks, luscofusco. This was scanned from an old print, about 1990. At the time, walking from North to South rim was quite unusual, although I expect it is more popular now - but probably not as popular still as rafting through the gorge or maybe taking a helicopter trip down!

In 1990 must have been a beautiful adventure walk at the grand canyon and the scanned photo is a true reflection.

Nice photo, but this is not the "Inner Gorge". The Inner Gorge is the deepest part of the Grand Canyon below the Tonto Platform, just before you get to the river. It is where the amazing, contorted billion year old black schist is located. I would be curious to know exactly where this photo was actually taken, though. It is an unusual vista and very beautiful.

Thanks Mark. The best I can remember is that this was taken on the Bright Angel Trail, walking from the north rim to the south rim of the canyon.
