The surf is only moderate along this coast Dean but it's a lot better at Saltburn and further up at Seaton Carew :)

Precious environment and loneliness in this photo, I love it!!
Greetings from Spain.
My first response may seem odd - but I thought i was looking down the track of my Hornby Clockwork Train set that engrossed me for many many hours of childhood! That must make it very real!!
Season's Greetings, and a fulfilling 2013, Jim.
Dean Matthews~~~I note that you have taken a break from Panoramio Dean....I look forward to your return :)
Meersch~~~~The platforms were deserted, not a soul to be seen or heard..This normally busy station looks abandoned here..I could not resist taking a photo from the track..Your nice comment and YSL is much appreciated, thank you :)
Ian Stehbens~~~No Ian, I feel and see what you did! I too was a big fan of Hornby..I remember as a small boy in the late 1940's, a kind and generous person, who lost his sons in WWII, giving me a discarded pre-war clockwork O gauge engine and two carriages with sufficient track to form a 360 circle. I was transfixed by the motion of the links, the clatter of the wheels on the rails as my childish imagination was stimulated beyond my wildest dreams! A couple of years later, I was fortunate to receive for Christmas, an electric 00 gauge set which comprised a small 0-6-0 tank engine and three rolling stock, one of which had bogey wheels..I was in my element now..No more winding up the clockwork spring!
Today, as I watch and listen to the distant sounds of live steam and shrieking whistles, I vividly remember, with great affection, my Hornby trains!
Thanks for the memories my friend!
In return and with fondness, I extend to you, and your loved ones, my best wishes and hopes for a happy and peaceful New Year.
Kind regards to you all !
We have an 'o' gauge steam train which lives under our piano in the living room. Can't beat the wonderful noises it makes, and lights up the piano legs with its headlight! Happy New Year to you all x
