I can see You're gettin accustomed with Your D40. This macro is very good. Thats my latest. I know how hard it is to do a good macro with this standard lens, always something getting in the way. All nthe best from Poland, Lukas

Amelia Royan on January 9, 2009

Hi Lukas, thank you for this lovely comment. You are right, I am beginning to enjoy the experience of the D40. Not much got in the way of the lens and the moss though, there wasn't much room. :)

I was going to crack a joke here ... in view of your photo of the tiny mushrooms.

Perhaps not - they might ban me from Panoramio for poor joke telling.

Greetings, Amelia

Mira, I'm glad you like my little woodland of moss. It's such a joy to be able to enlarge the photo without losing a lot of detail. If I get much more "micro" I'll soon be taking photos of cell structure a bit like Art. :)

Greetings, Amelia

Greetings Amelia

Very good and interesting macro giving this simple plant a whole new dimension. I maxed out the zoom for a really good look--impressive.

Kind regards

Jim

Amazing macro Amelia. Beautiful image.

Greetings, Juan.

Hello Jim, I am just experimenting with this new camera to see what lens I need to save up for. :)

So I really appreciate your comment. So far, the macro facilities are exceptional [for the price of the camera that is], but looking at some of the macros on Panoramio, it is nowhere near the mark. I have to say that, for the moment, I am perfectly satisfied, with it though.

Some of the mosses are exceptional. You ought to visit Ian r's site to see what he has produced :)

Greetings, Amelia

Great stuff Amelia

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

I have no heating this morning - my sense of humour has departed. Glad you like this moss though Nick.

Nick Weall on January 10, 2009

always look on the bright side of life when you have no heating and feeling like dross call in a plumber or at least his wife and in the meantime wrap up warm in moss

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

You're a poet

And you don't know it

But your feet show it

Cos they're Long fellows. :)

Nick Weall on January 10, 2009

Benni w on January 10, 2009

This is a very grear photo, I like it very much. The blurred background in contrast to the clear moss in the foreground . Very well done and seen.

Greetings to Norway, Benni

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

Hello Benni, I'm in the UK at the moment, probably for about another 3 weeks.

Thank you for your visit and lovely comment, I really appreciate your point of view.

Greetings from the UK, Amelia :)

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

Nick, I'm getting warmer! :)

Nick Weall on January 10, 2009

Is that Miss Moss calling ????

Amelia seriously I am so glad ~ I didn't really think that you would find enough moss up there to warp up in ~ it is a good old Indian trick

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

:)

Guess who's just paid me at visit at home?

Think carefully ....... I don't want any wrong answers. :)

Nick Weall on January 10, 2009

I'm sure they must have made a film about it ~ at home with Amelia ~ or ~ guess whose coming to dinner with Amelia ~ or ~ Amelia snaps the plumber finishing off the new boiler

Amelia Royan on January 10, 2009

Nick, I've just found this for you. But I hope it won't make you feel too sad.
