What a beautiful bit of magic you captured here, Annica!

My father's mother was from Smoland and his father from Dalsland, and I have only been on southern Sweden (except for a train trip from Norway to Lulea and on then to Finland). I would love to see more of it, but at least I can enjoy your pictures! (My grandfather was a Gustafson when he emigrated, but in the United States he took his grandfather's army name, Färdig, as his last name, so that was my last name until I married.)

Hello Marilyn! I am sorry that I have missed your nice comment for so long. Today I was glad to read it. So you have your roots in Sweden. Your grandfathers name Gustafson was my name before I married ;=). My father was from the region near one of our big lakes Vättern. Gustafsson is a not to unusual names in Sweden. Funny though, we might be related...
