It might be a little difficult at first to get a sense of how far up this picture was taken. But if you look closer to the bottom of the photo where you can look far down on a two story building you will begin to get an impression. But this is roughly the same height as the Magnolia Bridge three or four blocks away, and while at its base the bridge is about 10 feet (a little over 3 meters) above the water of Puget Sound, at the top it is closer to 140 feet (about 42 meters). In fact, Google Earth gives this the ledge from which this photo was taken an altitude of 165 feet, or almost exactly 50 meters.

There is a sign that tells you to stay on the other side of it not much before the edge. After walking up the Magnolia Bridge I didn't have any trouble obeying it.
