Ammersoyen castle in the town of Ammerzoden in the netherlands. originally Built in 1350 although the interior dates from the early 17th century after it was restored following a partial destruction by a fire. Rather than being changed into a luxurious renaissance mansion, the owner decided to maintain the castles medieval look. the result is one of the best examples of medieval castle architecture in the netherlands.
