Nice light in this photo Peter. It seems a very interesting place with a long history, parts of the ruin being nearly 1,000 years old and the whole place being in ruin for more than 200 years. (I cannot understand all the german in translation...) Interesting that it is not protected and anyone may walk here and take in the view. Seems a very nice place for photos. Regards, Chris

Jani and Lina, thank you for your kind words and for the star, respectively!

Greetings, Peter

Chris, I´m glad about your interest in these ruins. We´ve got lots of ruins in the region where I live, most of them can be visited without a fee. Some of them are really still great (I recommend my tag "Ruine Reussenstein" for another example), others are not more than a few stones left upon a rock (nearly all of them were built on top of a rock to make it easy to defend them against attacks). Nobody does any harm to them, so why should they not be open for everyone? We´ve got a lot of castles, too, most of them are private property, they mostly can´t be visited or you have to pay for a guided tour. I´ve posted another picture I took on Sunday from Hohenurach, it shows more of the walls that remained...

Greetings, Peter
