I have no deep or poetic comment, Ian. (I'm too cold as we try to keep our thermostat set at a reasonable level!) I just want to say that this is a beautiful and powerful image!
fantastic view Ian
Stay warm, dear Marilyn, with the thermostat on 25C. You do not need to be poetic or philosophical Marilyn, for sharing our images has created a very significant friendship for me. I am glad that you appreciate the photo.
And my greetings from Australia to you, Michael. Thanks for the appreciative visit to my gallery. I have enjoyed exploring Israel in your gallery.
A wonderful picture Ian. The clouds are so impressive.
Greetings from Germany
I appreciate your comments very much.
Warm regards from Sydney,
Billy, I fear can just imagine what you might have done if you had seen all this woolly fleece rolling down from the moors to the glens. I think you would have led me into the rolling fogs so that we could experience Scotland in Australia!
O how I remember trying to drive my van back to London from Aberdeen, and the sea fog had rolled in. I never saw Stonehaven, Brechin or Forfar that trip, for it was a case of feeling the way instead. What a drive!!
It is similar fun when one hikes on to these mountain tops with clear skies above, then after setting up the tent in the summit rainforest for the night, discover that it begins to rain all night! It turns out that it is only the fog that has shrouded the tops and the forest and as the canopy gets wet, so the drops fall heavily on the tent all night! What a relief to find that it is fine in the morning.
It is an awesome world, Billy.
Your comment, 气势磅礴 (with overpowering momentum), is so true, yet it is also true to say that the cloud enfolds the mountain ever so gently. It is like a caress.
Kind greetings from Australia,
As my grandmother was born in Aberdeenshire, I grew up with many calendars of Scotland, and invariably Ben Nevis and Loch Lomond were included, but I have never seen the summit of Ben Lomond before. Your cousin has certainly become a proud Aussie!
Greetings from another of your Scottish cousins in Australia,
Very impressing... great pic! Greetings from Munich! Mathias
