I am speechless! These photos are beyond beautiful. Which camera do you use?
Thanks Alan, I used a Canon Digital Rebel XT from August 2005 to October 2006, and I'm currently using the Canon XTi. The biggest upgrade is Canon's attempt at dust control on the XTi (it's still an issue however). Prior to that I used a Canon G5 (5 megapixel), which produced many great images but had a smaller imaging chip, so suffered from "purple fringing" on some shots.
Well your photos certainly do the XTi justice, it looks like a great camera. I recently bought the Nikon D50, it is a great camera, though like you say dust and purple fringing has been an issue with it. I look forward to more of your photography :-)
The purple fringing seems to have been tamed in the XT, perhaps partially due to the larger and newer generation CCD, but I suppose that Canon may also be doing some noise reduction in firmware. The one type of edge noise that I still see from time to time in the XTi is some minor bleeding of color from a bright area into darker areas (a tree sticking up into the sky for example). It seems to be easily cured by using the noise reduction filter in Photoshop Elements (that works to reduce the purple and red fringing in my older shots as well).
Very nice photo! How long was exposure time?
