very good good good ciao Giorgio
Hi James Bond!
Here you can see another one big machine (but it is not mine ;-) ):
There is a feeling of abandonment about this shot,
that is how it felt on the day I took it.
Steve As you know, on a hot sunny summers day, the station is thronging with tourists, When this was a British Rail line more than 35 years ago, this is pretty much how it would have looked,----deserted!!!
Giorgio The old line survives because of volunteers, for them it is a labour of love!
Billy_At some point during the year, a number of re-enactments take place when the public act out various scenarios, in costume. I must get up there one day with my camera ;>)
Bruce-Your'e a gent, many thanks
Gab--I'm glad that you like it
Mimi--You know that I am still a child at heart ;>)
Thanks for dropping in guys ;>)
Hi Jim, lovely pic, The misty morning gives it a real nice feeling! plus the muted reds on the brakevan & buildings really lift & define the shot!
I'll get off my soapbox now! Nice work Jim!
As you can see, it was a cold grey day in Goathland!! Not a soul to be seen, or sound to be heard. This is how the "end of the world will" look, I'm sure ;>)
Thanks for dropping in Steve D and Hugh
Hi "James B."!

The Question is...
Smiles my friend, Mimi :-)

Hello e.m.r. 2 - a picture…~~~I am old fashioned in my beliefs that the days of steam were somehow less stressful, people cared more and had time for each other..today, every one is in too much of a hurry ;.)
Thanks for stopping by
