Morondava Baobab Amoureux dodo (i)

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

Baobab Amoureux - two Adansonia za trees twisted together. According to the legend these two loving baobabs came and grew together across the centuries. Baobabs found themselves after an impossible love between a young man and young woman of the nearby village. However both had already an assigned partner and had to marry separately in their respective villages. However, the impossible couple dreamed of a common eternity life and having a child together and secretly asked help to their god. Both baobabs were born and now live they for eternity as one as the couple always wished

Florentine Vermeiren on January 4, 2010

magnifique !

Florentine Vermeiren on June 10, 2010

Merci Jackie.

A lovely embrace!

Florentine Vermeiren on August 24, 2010

Thanks Jean. They are deeply in love with each other ... or so it seems.

Greetings, indri

~jean~ on August 24, 2010

And by now, they are probably depending on each other as well. :)

Florentine Vermeiren on August 24, 2010

Absolutely Jean. It would also be a disaster for that region if they should disappear. Morondava has nothing to offer apart of the Avenue des Baobab with the Baobab amoureux at the end of the Avenue.

Florentine Vermeiren on March 20, 2011

Monique!
