Steve this picture amazes me, because it seems so far away from your normal style. Well, I love it. It reminds me of the classic master Poppies by Claude Monet. Well Done!. Herb
Herb i am shocked you would think i would not take this(look back a few for some more), you put the right link on there as well was what i was trying to capture you see i did art at high school. thanks Steve one of the faves of Europe that i came away with, steve
Ethereally beautiful, the crimson blooms floating above the foliage. Has your surfing son inherited any of your artistry, do you think?
Very best wishes to you,
Sue sad to say the skill it all stops here bonsai, photos, painting, carving leather and wood the only one taken up is surfing which is still happening. glad you like the image its what i was after but it took about 10 weeks till i put the film in and got them back till i knew it worked not like today. this is where you see how lucky we are today. steve
Yours is great :-) good shot , sorry it took so long to look .
Lovely pic!! More so because it's in Greece!! Not a flower that I associate with Greece.
Paula there was poppy field everywhere at this time of year i was taken with this one as i was able to get a clean shot just the field and nothing else. i took too few photo of Europe though film cost a bit cheap now days with digital. glad you like the shot steve

Very nice Steve. Greetings Berend
Nick & Berend in a way that was the look i was going for so i am happy you think so. one of my fav but will never make it as a big photo for the shop sadly. steve
Elena one of my personal fav shots that you know you can never get better. steve
YSL For this shot Steve. Herb is spot on when he said it reminds him of Claude Monet's Poppies near Argenteuil. Tone.
Just saw this lovely image as I was looking through your gallery Steve and with the blast of purple flowers in the foreground has won it over for me, beautiful, YSL
Karen & Tone it interesting you chose this shot my 'two best shots' that define me as a outstanding part of my photo past is this and Pink Daisy to me they are truly timeless. the very best use of depth of field both these shots in this case one defines the lot 50mm F1.8 and i would put money on taken at F1.8. i only wish i had captured these on Digital not old slide film. i am just waiting to get out of the coffee shot so i can be free to pursue my photo hobby and love further. i am truly honored you would Y* this shot but i guess as my friend Herb says you cant hide a good shot.:o))) steve
