Amelia, great record of the place!
Hello Wolfgang, I'm glad that you think this is a good representation of one of the London bridges. Thank you ;-)
Jee Amelia crawling under a bridge in January!!?? With a camera? Very tough work!
BUT well done! Very nice, I bet the Big Ben must look like the same, inside. :)
Greetings - Frank.
This is a great night shot, Amelia! The bridge looks most interesting in this light! You did a great job here!
Hi Frank, Tough cookie eh? ;-)
But I must confess that I was standing on a pedestrian suspension bridge which is bolted on to the rail bridge, so no - I wasn't about to damage the camera. I guess big Ben might look a bit like this, we used to wind the church clock in our village and the mechanism was quite unlike what one would expect.
Glad you like the photo, and I hope you are not too disappointed about the intrepid photographer.
As you know Sabine, night shots can be fantastic if there is interesting structure. From a distance the lighting on the suspension bridge looked like fine showers of white rain, but I don't think I managed to capture a good photo of that unfortunately.
Thank you for this great comment.
Did it remind you of Mary's shot, you know, where we all contribute to the artistic merits of Pano-amigo photos? :)
I did indeed Billy thank you so much!
I notice we're all being made to feel old by Digga. ;)
Another great capture Amelia ~ inspirational stuff ~ thank you
Do I really inspire you dear Nick? Thanks for this vote of confidence. ;-)
Well Amelia, to be honest, a bit disappointed I am! :)
In my fantasy I saw you hanging and climbing an crowling, while keeping the cameara dry.......:))
Great spot Amelia, I would never have thought of shooting this part of the bridge in the dark
You have a keen eye for isolating detail, Amelia. I love the atmosphere you have captured in this shot.
Cheers, Joe http://dumbarton.ws
Hello Fai, for me this is a really good comment. Thank you so much. The angles and the shapes seemed so appealing, and believe you me, I am hopeless with angles!
So keen maybe Joe that I forget the overall picture! The whole engineering here was fascinating I must admit. Thank you for this great comment.
It seems that you could teach me a thing or two about photography, Amelia.
Don't be so silly Joe.
Of course dearest macro ~ I commented above back in January that I found your shot inspirational ;)
Whoops so you did Nick, I didn't read it when I set you a post. Sorry my friend :(
Hey ~~~ No problemo what so ever my mighty marco polo and to stress the point you do have a remarkable eye ~ I like the way you find unique views of our World ~ so no apology needed ~ wonder goat ~ just trot along on those dainty cloven feet and find something new for us all to enjoy :))))
