:) the 1st comment, and the 1st like. Great, heavy, atmosphere.
Welcome in the "Great minds think alike" club Alex!
Thanks for your visit, for the like off course, but most of all for the "feeling the storm approach" appreciation expressed in your comment.
Warm greetings from Belgium, indri
Nice foreground for the brooding dark storm! I can't understand the viewing public - such beautiful pictures go unnoticed and then the favourites are often plastic creations. My most viewed photo is a stupid plastic hotel in Polokwane and I only took the photo because I was bored when the workshop attendees were almost an hour late!
Thanks Daan. When I started to look at Google Earth it was because I tried to know what kind of scenery to expect before going to India. Only the most known places where shown, a hundred, thousand times. Very little about the countryside where the real inhabitants live. Same thing for Indochina, Turkey, Madagascar, etc.
Madagascar is a unknown country to the large public, also it is more then the national parks and the few promoted (sorry) honeymoon resorts, that's why I showed different pictures from every part of the Island, thinking "quality proves itself" haha, wrong idea by a with advertisements bombarded but publicity swallowing easy going public. btw, my most viewed image is one of the Indian Ocean in the extreme North of Madagascar, it could have been a view of the Pacific or the Atlantic, as no surroundings are shown. Sad story hé :(
Don't worry, be happy!
Hi indri. It seems as if this photo has just had 5000 views, wow. You really have been around the world. Where have you not been? I'll check out your most viewed image too. Surroundings are sometimes difficult to include, if this is not you are really focusing on. Groetjes, Daan
Where have I not been Daan? For exemple in South Africa, Namibia... in fact concerning Africa I was only in Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Madagascar, that leaves lots of unseen countries there. Same thing about Asia, I've only been in Indochina, North India, and Turkey. Not much he!
Humble, humble. BTW, I see in Flemish you'll say "not much hé", while in Afrikaans we'll say "not much né". Time for you to move down the African continent, much to see here.
Next year I'll be in your neighborhood, probably in Ethiopia. Unless I change my mind and try a part of the ancient Silk Road: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and that other -Stan country I forgot.
Ethiopia is still way too far north! You must have a braai in the South. The one "stan" is much like the other.
