Just north of the town of Oswestry stands this ancient hillfort. The earthwork defences can still clearly be seen. An ancient iron-age celtic tribe would have lived there behind a wooden palisade. It may have been re-inhabited by tribes in the 5th century after the Romans abandoned Britain
