Greetings Tom and Justin. I've used and been very happy with both Kodak Gallery and Shutterfly, but they are more limited when it comes to page numbers, and they're expensive by comparison. Do either of you have experience to compare among the group? Thanks.

Hank, sorry but no experience with those two, so can't make any comparisons I'm afraid.

Cheers, Justin

Hello Justin and Hank. Hank- I haven't tried any of the other providers yet. My brother has had multiple books made through Snapfish and was very pleased with them. I think Blurb is not cheap compared to others I've looked at. My main concern was quality, both in construction and image reproduction. How would you grade the two you mentioned on that count? Justin- Cheers for the link to albelli. I'll have a look at them. Here is the link to my Arizona book. Arizona Blurb Book The preview is turned on so you can look at about the first 3rd of it. If you order 10 or more I'll give you a discount. LOL :)

Best regards to you both, Tom

No less than 10 for a discount, eh? And they call us Dutch "cheap" :p (Well, okay, I'm only half Dutch, but still ;) )

Your book looks very nice Tom, the two-page spread in particular is excellent! And nice to see a face to go with the name :)

Cheers, Justin

I’m curious – it’s the same deadwood or not? Thanks, Tom, for a beautiful retrospective! Virginijus

Tom, for albums I've only used Shutterfly, but I've used both Kodak Gallery and Shutterfly for enlargements. Like you, quality is my primary concern and both met my needs while frankly exceeding my expectations. Now, I'll only print pictures occasionally myself when I'm in a hurry.

Your album is gorgeous, and the full page and spread treatment really spotlighted your work.

I did an album when I traveled souther Utah in the (blistering hot) summer of 2007. Here's that album from Shutterfly. As you can see, mine was more of a scrapbook treatment than a true coffee table photo book which I feel your qualifies as.

What I liked about the Blurb book - assuming the quality satisfies your eye - is the lack of a limit on the number of pages. I've a project in mind that will exceed the 100 page Shutterfly limit, and the 80 page Kodak count.

Thanks for the lead.

Thank you Virginijus and you're welcome. Although the two shots were taken only 16 days apart they appear to have captured two different trees. Mine doesn't have a Yucca next to it. :)

Hank - I've gotta say I'm very impressed with the Shutterfly book you compiled. So many excellent images in there. Neat stuff. What were the dimensions of the printed book? One shortcoming, at least for me, was the lack of a large(13 in. plus) format book with Blurb. Does Shutterfly go that large? Looks like a lot of different formats to use. Thanks for the info. As far as enlargements go I use Adorama(in NY City) exclusively. I know you've heard me mention them before but I really like their excellent quality, printing options and fast turnaround. And they do put their prints on sale regularly.

Justin - Your 2008 book is splendid. All the images of yours that I love and more in a neatly formated presentation. Well done my friend. :)

Best regards,

Tom, the largest format that Shutterfly offers is only 12"x12" and that was the size of my album. I think they're all limited in their binding departments because I can purchase prints up to 20"x30."
