Interesting image Larry! I see a wilderness pealed back for human habitation, then along comes something with a greater agenda oblivious to the first footprints! The age of exploration is fascinating to me and many of your images have the taste of the 'New World'!
I enjoyed reading your comment. Queets, while on a major highway, is quite isolated by distance and sits in an area surrounded by forests. The river valley is one of the most protected in the United States. Queets is a Native American village that dates back well before the time of Columbus, and perhaps the last ice age.
I do enjoy taking photos of the land as it could have appeared hundreds of years ago and those places that may look that way long after I am gone. At the same time I also like taking photos of the interaction of humans and the land.
