Unieke kruising tussen Zomerlinde en Winterlinde (Tilia Platyphyllos x Tilia Cordata), niet de vaker voorkomende soort Tilia x Europaea / Unique grafted species of Lime tree ((Tilia Platyphyllos x Tilia Cordata), not being the more common Tilia x Europaea

Leeftijd / Age: 330 jaar/years (geplant in / planted in: 1678) (20 oude bomen, afgewisseld met enkele jongere exemplaren / 20 old trees and some younger specimens) Lengte / Length: +- 200m

Hoogte / Height: Verschillend, sommige bomen lijken in het verleden (ernstige) stormschade te hebben opgelopen, terwijl anderen nog geheel intact zijn. De hoogste exemplaren zijn +- 20m hoog. / the trees have different height, due to the fact that some of them appear to have suffered (severe) storm damage in the past, whereas others remain in perfect shape. The tallest tress are +- 20m high.

Locatie: Tongerlose abdij, in centrum Tongerlo, gem. Westerlo (Provincie Antwerpen). / Location: Tongerlo Abbey, in towncentre of Tongerlo, near Westerlo (Province of Antwerpen, Belgium).

Deze lindebomen zijn de enige overgebleven van hun soort (zie boven), vermoedelijk afkomstig als stek van de Tilburgse lindeboom (NL), gekapt in 1994 en 400 jaar oud. / These trees are the only specimens left of this special cultivar of lime-tree, possibly originating from the lime-tree of Tilburg (Netherlands), which was cut down in 1994, 400 years old at the time.
