Good Morning from me Mary Alice and good evening for you I guess. apart from admiring our little feathered friend above that you have caught so well :) I'd just like to thank you for the very gracious words you have sent me and your vote for the spinnaker tower with geese shot ~ tht was really very kind of you. You it is all a great thrill and I'm enjoying it all very much. Not so long to go now and then we'll see what is what.

All the very best to you dear Maary Alice and I look forward to seeing you again soon. Ciao nick

Your new bird photos are very beautiful. Here big patience is needed!

Marilyn Whiteley on January 23, 2009

The color harmony between the bird and the background makes this an even more stunning photo than it would be otherwise. And I love how he's looking you right in the eye!!

I'm actively trying to work out when we can come to Atlanta for two or three weeks for research. I hope to learn the archives' schedule next week.

Best wishes, Marilyn

Greetings, Nick!

You're certainly MOST welcome for my vote on your Spinnaker Tower shot. You can always count on my votes whenever a photograph of yours in entered in a contest of any sort! Always make sure that I am aware that you're competing, okay? I would hate for one to go unnoticed by me, and therefore, unvoted on by me! You will always have my support, as I think your shots are fantastic! =)

I wish you the BEST of luck with this particular shot, and I can't wait to hear the outcome! Do let me know, okay?

Good afternoon, Elmer! Your visit and kind words are so appreciated. Yes, lots of patience is required when photographing our little feathered friends, but I enjoy it so much! I'm really glad that you also liked this shot. Thank you again for your nice praise. =)

Marilyn, greetings, and welcome! I also thought that the background worked nicely with this little fellow! You are the first to notice the pretty yellow tone accenting his Winter plumage!

Thank you for your attention!

I'm excited that you're going to be coming to Atlanta for a visit! I can't wait to see what areas will catch your eye, as there is so much to see and enjoy.

Just remember to be careful! It is a VERY high crime area.

We just got back from a little get-away to North Carolina! It was so pretty there, but very cold. I'm glad to be back to where it's a little warmer.

Thank you all for your nice visits! =)

Best regards,

Mary Alice

Beautiful sharp shadows and I love the way he's inclining his head. It gives him such character. Really great capture of this sweet little fellow, Mary Alice. Well done!

Best wishes , Sue

Sue, my dearest Sue!

Thank you for visiting this sweet little Goldfinch! This fellow is my favorite out of the four little birds that I posted here. =)

You always like the same things that I like. I loved his sweet tilted head too! It was as if he was thinking or reasoning about something.

He was so small and cute!

I'm delighted to have you visit, and I hope you're having a great weekend so far.

All my best to you,

Mary Alice

So cute MaryAlice it looks the two of you have eye-contact. Wonderful coloured bird and a great portrait!

MaryAlice on February 1, 2009

Greetings, Erik, and thanks for your happy visit. Yes, I think we did make eye contact more than a couple of times. I spend quite a while out there with the birds that day.

It's nice to see you, and thanks again for your visit.

Happy Sunday to you,

Mary Alice
