Der Greta oto ist eine kleine Besonderheit! Er ist ein sehr häufiger aber kleiner Schmetterling, der gerne übersehen wird, da seine Flügel transparent wie Glas sind. Der Schmetterling ist gewöhnlich von Mexiko bis Panama zu Hause. Die Weibchen legen nur jeweils ein Ei und suchen dann nach einer neuen Wirts-pflanze. Diesen habe ich im Schmetterlingshaus auf der Insel Mainau fotografiert.
The Greta oto is a little special! He is a very common but little butterfly that is often overlooked because its wings are transparent as glass. The butterfly is usually from Mexico to Panama at home. The females lay only one egg and then search for a new host plant. I photographed them in the butterfly house on Mainau.
