Thank you Olga. It was a beautiful mountain and if you have ever seen the movie Close Encounter of the Third Kind it was about the Tower. It was fun because you can climb all over it and even propel to the top, If you aren't too old and out of shape, like me. I really want to thank you for looking at so many of my photos. It is very nice and I am honored that you took the time. Sharon
Mejor a usted. Sharon
Wonderful photo Sharon. It is possible to slimb up on top easyly? I saw this rock in a book resently. But think your photos shows it better in some way, more real, more alive, so yo speak. You have captured it very well.I love the detail of the rock. Thanks again for sharing this photo with me. Kind Regards, David. :-)
Hi David. Thanks for coming to my photos of Devil's Tower. I do not think it is easy to climb but you can pay to go up and I think you can even parachute off the top. I have no desire to do it because I am a old lady and I had a hard enough time climbing on the rocks at the base of the mountain. If you ever have the opportunity to visit, it is well worth seeing it. Your country is the one I wish to see. All my life I have wanted to visit Australia. Since I was a child it has been on my list of places I have to see before it is too late. Thanks again for you very nice comments David. Sharon
It seems Devil's Tower is too steep for this old man too!! You mentioned you always wanted to vist Australia ever since you were child. You should come. Airfares are very cheap at the moment. By the way, I tried to find the old lady you mentioned, but I couldn't find her anywhere. She must have run away!!!
Hi David. I think you could parachute off the top and I will stand at the bottom taking photos of you coming down. I plan on Australia sometime in the next 2 years. I am going to Ireland this year. Ireland is where my ancestors hail from. Half Irish and half Finnish. I really feel the need to go to Ireland first and since President Obama is taking most of our money for other things, other than our own pleasures, I have to save up a little longer. Enough of my Political Woes. Sharon
Hello Sharon,Well you are going to go to Ireland. You will certainly find that interesting. Its beautiful place there. Was there many years ago back in Sept 1984. Had wonderful time. The scenery everywhere was good. I hired a car and my friend who lived there showe me all around. I fly to Aldergrove Airport, just west of Belfast and I had this delightful little cottage to myself at Orlock, not far from Bangor. It didn't take long to reconize accents and to what County they came from. I think the Northwest coast of Ireland was the best from memory, but then again all of the west coast was just great. I have never in all my life smelt air as fresh as it is in Ireland. Truely it was so and green grass you see in postcards, which doesn't seem real, is in fact, just like that. Amasing. "I think you will wear your finger out snapping wherething and anything you see there! Well, so you want to come to Australia do you!!!!Well you will probully fly into Sydney for starters. But don't forget to come to the WESTERN AUSTRALIA, BUT before you come here, you better have a look and listern to this
What a cute little song. I am duly warned. As for Ireland, I really want to see the **Giant's Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands and just pretty much everywhere else. I do have to see some giant cliffs most of all. As for Australia, I mostly want to see the Western side and the northern coast, Darwin and your neck of the woods. I think everyone goes to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef but I want to see it all. I can not remember the proper name of the mountain in the central part, but I am sure you know which one I am talking about. I feel drawn to that one, Is it supposed to be mystical or have some special meaning?. Well. David. I feel as if we have become travel buddies now and I am able to ask you questions. Thanks for the video It was great. Sharon
