Dancing drops of cooling water sink beneath the azure skin; a tracery of shadows skipping, slipping into stocking shapes, stretching taut and then respringing, dimpling the calm within. Tiny drops of water flutter, frozen as I press the shutter--crystal candlesticks of utter joy and beauty to behold! A myriad of dancing drops, echoing with hollow plops, symphonic 'til the shower stops -- silky, smooth and cold...

OH dear, I shall have to do some lumping together here, which I hate to do, but thank you very very much, Domi Rolland*, for your kind comment!
Kamaly, you are not losing the plot or anything--I'm sure I put these two on a day or so after the other ones:D Thomas has been having quite a nice time at home by himself, but he does love to come to school to see his big brother, and then soon enough, there they are, shoulder to shoulder, bent over some project or other. They really are very close. I hope they get to spend long and happy lives as brothers, bless 'em!
Hello Christopher in icy Dallas! Wow, imagine if I did get famous. I think I can only dream of that. I'm sure I'll be lucky if I even cover the costs, but hey, it was something I had to have a go at, so anything's a bonus from now on...If I do get famous though, Christopher, I'll be sure to do you an autograph! :D
Hello Conrad, nope, you needn't worry either, I'm sure I put this one after the ones at the beach...you didn't miss a thing, you still have all your marbles, which is more than I can say for myself! Thanks so much for your interest in my book. It's at the cover design stage at the moment. I'm getting quite excited about it all! That reminds me, I'm to send some more photos! Just had another email today about that. Good job you reminded me, Conrad --it's been a busy day and it had quite slipped my mind..:)
Thank you so much, Fai, I'm extremely honoured to receive your yellow star--really, thank you very much!
Hi Mustafa ERKEK, thank you so much for your visit, and your kind comment. I really do appreciate you taking the time to leave a message for me!
Thank you kindly, ,kuka, for your praise and very good luck with your contest. Your path to paradise is so effective, like a tapestry, with the path weaving through the trees...
Nick knack, I agree with you those branches are a distraction. I had to leave them in as I had already cropped it as much as I could, and they are in the middle distance, rather than in the foreground. But, the next time it rains, I'm going to be in the pool with an umbrella, instead of standing at the edge..:)
I have tagged a number of pictures which have my poems alongside them..under 'POEM' , if you'd like to have a look at any of them. I think there about 3 pages of them, according to the thumbnails! I had no idea I'd done so many on here. I've also written a lot on other people's photos, but I have trouble remembering where I left them. OH dear! I should have made a note of them all, I guess. Oh well, never mind.
I hope you like some of them. They're all very different, when you read one, you haven't read them all, if you see what I mean. Depending on what I'm writing about, you might like different styles.
I wonder if you'd let me know if you like any of them, please, I'd really appreciate the feedback. OH dear on the other hand, if you hate them, I shall feel terrible about this blinking book -- perhaps not!:)
May I thank you all once again for your lovely comments, you've made me very happy...warm wishes to you all
Sue

Sue Allen..thank you so much...this is really lovely..you are such a talent...
How you manage to make verse fit so perfectly to the picture is so clever...I wish I could do it...
I hope you don't mind if I print this out and put it on my wall with the photo...it is so nice as I love the rain on the surface of water...
I have some nice photos of when I am up the Esk and it showers...love the effect of the rain drops and the shimmer on the water when the wind passes over it...this photo though is so good..you have caught the beauty of it all... Love it..
See ya later...Sandy

Of course you can, Sandy! I'm really chuffed that you like this so much. Your kind words about my poems and stuff are always so cheering. Thanks my southern friend.
It's pouring with rain here -- I hope you're getting some of the same soon, if not already.
Very best wishes to you,
Sue

Yep...just got back on the computer as have been having a thunder storm for the last few hours....have had good rain over the last couple of weeks...everything is nice and fresh...river is full and looking good :)
Wish some of it would go south to Victoria...they really need it there...poor buggers...the fires are still bad and raging away in places :(
Take care and keep up the good work :) all the best from Sandy

I was just languishing in the car this evening, Sandy, it wasn't particularly hot, but it was so humid, I had arms and legs draped everywhere, one of my legs was even out of the window as there was no one about. I was thinking about how if it was so unbearably hot here, at only around 32 deg C, what on earth must it have been like for those in Victoria, to have temps of 47 or 48 deg in those days before the fires started, let alone the overwhelmingly awful fires themselves. We are lucky, indeed, Sandy...
Very best wishes to you, and you take care too, Sue

...Sorry to bagge in ...( I had arms and legs draped everywhere, one of my legs was even out of the window as there was no one about. ) There might not have been nobody about but I could see you from your description !... by the way we are even luckier here ! Ciao , Nick

Your not wrong, Sue...we are lucky living up the coast as we do...climate here is so nice and more temperate...which is good...we get a few hot weeks in January, February..which we notice because of the humidity...but other than that it is good here...
I think in Victoria they don't have the humidity...it is a dry heat...which I think just saps the moisture out of everything...hence the terrible fires as they haven't had decent rain for such a long time...everything is so dry and brittle it just bursts into flames...
Would be scary as hell....
I feel for them... and hope they get some decent showers real soon...
The arms and legs thing :) sounds like me in front of the fan....you can't cool off if you aren't spread out haha
See ya....Sandy
