First, dear Yan**, I thought that this picture was made somewhere in the forest, not in the heart of the city!

So nice to see in your gallery photos of places which I know!

Have you been to Copenhagen, Eva? Copenhagen is one of my favourite cities, without doubt.

I was in Denmark during my trip to Scandinavia. The main program was in Norway, but I really liked Denmark and Copenhagen. Have you visited the Kronborg/Elsinore?

Ian Stehbens on January 28, 2009

Dear Eva,

I am interested to learn that you have been to Norway, in addition to Denmark. I am yet to visit Norway, but that is in the basket of hopes. I have a photo of Kronborg in my Panoramio gallery. It really was a speciual experience to be there, especially as I had studied Hamlet at school, so there was some excitement for me about going there.

I don't understand what is this construction, in the picture, Olga

Ian Stehbens on January 29, 2009

Dear Olga,

Thanks for your inquiry.

This is simply an ornamental sculpture. In fact there is a pair of metallic sculptures standing opposite the entry to Amalienborg Palace plaza. At large scale on the GE images you will see the shadows cast by these two columns.

In my composition the vertical of the sculpture balances the long garden with its vanishing point.
