You've found an interesting subject with the cast iron man, I like the different approaches you have made. I personally think I prefer this to the sunset version; it reminds me a little of Close Encounters!

That's a great philosophy to have, you will find yourself walking around looking at scenes differently and picturing the results in your mind.
A good starting point for image editing and correcting things like your slightly sloping horizon is Picassa - this can be found at google.com. It's freee and has some handy tools, although it isn't the best editor you will find.
There are also a coulpe of threads on the forum about how to take a great picture. Worth a read.

OK, THIS is the best of the Illuminated Man shots. So far. I like your approach. I find that some pictures seem to just jump into my camera without my having to do much. Others take hours of shooting and fiddling in Photoshop. Usually, the best ones are the ones that take the least work.

I really like your illuminated man series! I bellieve it's a Iron statue right?
It inspires me to use my girlfriend as a model to do a shot like this one! on totally back light of course ;)

really great series... next all you gotta do is pack him up and get him to other great locations around the world and do a series at each location. Am sure you'd get an arts council grant or lottery funding. Seriously.

Yes, this one is the best for me, too. I agree with Chip. I hate to admit it, but, I don't even have photoshop, nor the time to fiddle with it. Maybe, some day. I will say there is alot of fantastic pictures out there and I have enjoyed all of them very much. Keep them coming.
