This was actually a couple of different photos, both taken from the same spot, but one showing more of the sky and the other showing a wave breaking on the beach. However, they shared the horizon, so trimming the photo which had a better view of the sky so that it showed the horizon and only a little of the water, I was able to stitch the photos together. To my eye it looks seamless. However, you can see the water bend concave -- suggesting a spherical projection -- as opposed to the natural convex appearance that one would normally expect to see.
