DSC03810 X-3D Stereoscopic Atlanta Six Flags in Crosseyed-3D 4/17/07 - E view

Not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps after a second review [?]

If you like to see this scene in dazzling 3D, please cross your eyes until left and right images overlap in the center. The center area should appear in 3D. You can also copy the entire image and paste it to Stereo Photo Maker for full screen viewing with zoom and pan ability or changing the 3D viewing technique. This image pair from a lava cave or the purple lotus flower is good for beginners due to their simplicity.

As you may have noticed, these images are simply taken with some offset distance between them with a regular digital camera. Therefore it is also possible for you to use your regular camera to start making your own stereoscopic 3D photographs with the mentioned software and share.

Wishing you best of luck for your success on this very simple to make yet amazingly rewarding technique.

Great too, lots of enjoying little details, I'm sure Volkanzilla would love to step on them :) specially that cube like structure on top of a column in the lower right corner, I almost want to grab it and pull :))

Vasco, many thanks for your kind comments.

Volkanzilla is just a curious tourist from another planet that appears to us as a giant or for some as God. To the objects you are indicating in the picture above, he could just come closer to see and find out what it is for with no harm in mind.

As you know distance between his eyes about 2km and he is about 40km tall. He can see the things that we can not see. He also has IR vision which he will share shortly. He already knows that this is one of the best planet within hundreds of galaxies that he visited so far. He's been here long ago as well. Since than he is puzzled to see that the planet is over populated and being destroyed by those creatures which evolved in to having the highest mental capacity. And he knows that, too much unused mental capacity that once needed for survival skills, made some of them hallucinate about themselves that they are extra special and superior to all other forms of life. By sharing his X-3D vision with us, he is trying to show that the entire planet as whole is very special and indeed he wants us to have respect to everything about it since there is no other like this planet out there.

When he takes all the pictures he can, than he'll go back to where he came from.

As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't mind that Volkanzilla would continue sharing his X-3d visions for really LONG time before he decides to retire and vanish into thin air...

We are all really lucky that he chose our blessed realm to exist. He gave me the opportunity to contemplate images of a kind I had never seen in my life. Images that could easily have huge commercial value

For that I am trully thankfull

Beautiful shot. In 2D it's just a tangle of coloured lines; in 3D the structure emerges. I spent several minutes tracing the rides.

Volkan Yuksel on September 7, 2007

Thanks Vasco, the friendly alien giant Volkanzilla will continue doing his best to share his 3D views from our small planet ;D

Matthew, it was great joy for me to make this pair. I am glad you liked it too. Best wishes, Volkan

Takao-san

I am glad that you felt how to be like Galiver :) Here is one more for you. Humans nests in the boxes you'll see ;)

Hi Volkan - Well the Big Day arrived: I figured out X-3D! And so this was the first photo I had to try it out on, because its one I've never really been able to see. I went back to one of those 'Magic Eye' books from a few years ago, and it suggested a simple version of what 3D glasses do: form a circle with your hand in front of your eyes so the right eye only sees the left image, and vice versa!

So now I can say: this is such a great, fun 3d! Cheers, Kathy

Volkan Yuksel on January 10, 2008

Hi Kathy, Congratulations for your X-3D vision :) I am very happy for you. Now you're true member of the X-3D club :) And thank you, I am glad you liked this one too :) Hope you try the original size, best wishes, Volkan

Thanks to everyone who made this picture being the very first one which reached 10000 views among all my pictures.

To see it in 3D as Kamalyn-3D mentioned above; "form a circle with your hand in front of your eyes so the right eye only sees the left image, and vice versa!"

Volkan, I just realized that this picture has been on my favourites list for a long time but I never commented on it! With the towers, roller coasters and trees it's one of the best aerial 3D's I've seen: good here, but even better for exploring in SPM. Also, congratulations for reaching 10000 views - 11606 by now! :)

Volkan Yuksel on June 19, 2008

Thank you much Jessica :) it is also interesting that this is one of the two picture in the entire SE region of the USA that is visible from ~887miles of Eye Altitude in the GE. I think this is the reason for the rapidly going up numbers. This one appears that it'll exceed the 10000 barrier as well :) Best wishes, Volkan

Amazing ! This 3D picture is the only one I can see in full size for some reason :D. Great work!

Volkan Yuksel on November 13, 2010

Dear Caamille, thank you so much. I am glad you were able to enjoy this view in 3D. And good luck with seeing the others in 3D in full size. SPM is also great help for viewing X-3Ds. Best wishes from Chicago, Volkan
