A Sunday Walk Round Stavanger 12 - Suspense
Not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps after a second review [?]
There are so many shots like this on Panoramio Janina, but I wanted to convey a circular walk round Stavanger. We were crossing this bridge, so I couldn't very well ignore it :)
Thanks for this kind comment, I'm pleased you too found it intersting.
Actually Mira, since I have had the new camera, he is a lot more interested - after all he bought it for me for my birthday and Christmas :)
And belive it or not, I don't stop that often, but the bridge is a good vantage point, and he had plenty to look at. It's when I fiddle in rock pools and the like that he starts to get twitchy.
Billy, thanks for such praise. It's not a particularly long bridge, but it has a good structure. I expect this shot is a bit like the Londodn Eye ..... everybody has got it :)
Good morning Wolfgang, I'm so pleased that you like this photo. The bridge crosses from Stavanger to the island of Grasholmen. It isn't very long, but it's a nice engineering subject.
Hello Joe - so where's the link? I love to compare the two. Glad you like the diagonals - I suspect that everyone who has ever walked across this bridge has taken the same shot ;-)
Here I am again - late as usual Marilyn. You have gone through my gallery very thoroughly my dear friend, and you have posted some lovely comments, thank you. I hope I haven't missed any others.

Hanging on the telephone ~~~~~~ great shot Amelia that eye is working overtime and to great advantage. :) Ciao nick
Telephone Nick? And here was I thinking it was one of your windmills on the Stavanger to Grasholmen bridge :)
It was the word suspense in the title Amelia that set me off of that one ~ it just came to mind ~ rather like windmills came into your mind :))))
Very interesting point of view. I like it :)

I love the strong diagonals in this pic. It reminds me of a pic I took of the Golden Jubilee Bridge in London.
Best wishes from Scotland, Joe
