Hanging on the telephone ~~~~~~ great shot Amelia that eye is working overtime and to great advantage. :) Ciao nick
Telephone Nick? And here was I thinking it was one of your windmills on the Stavanger to Grasholmen bridge :)
It was the word suspense in the title Amelia that set me off of that one ~ it just came to mind ~ rather like windmills came into your mind :))))
Very interesting point of view. I like it :)
There are so many shots like this on Panoramio Janina, but I wanted to convey a circular walk round Stavanger. We were crossing this bridge, so I couldn't very well ignore it :)
Thanks for this kind comment, I'm pleased you too found it intersting.
Greetings from Norway, Amelia
Actually Mira, since I have had the new camera, he is a lot more interested - after all he bought it for me for my birthday and Christmas :)
And belive it or not, I don't stop that often, but the bridge is a good vantage point, and he had plenty to look at. It's when I fiddle in rock pools and the like that he starts to get twitchy.
Nice point of view. Greetings. joão
Thanks for this great comment Joao. It's an easy shot to get really. Just look up when you cross the bridge :)
Billy, thanks for such praise. It's not a particularly long bridge, but it has a good structure. I expect this shot is a bit like the Londodn Eye ..... everybody has got it :)
Very artistic shot! I like it!
Greetings from Hungary!
MY ACTUAL CONTEST
Greetings, Surowiak Mihály
I like it Amelia ! Very good! Best wishes Eva, WELLINGTON, New Zealand
Thank you so much for your visit and kind comment Surowiak Mihály. I think everyone who lives here in Norway must have taken the same photograph :)
Eva, thanks for your visit and I'm so pleased you like this bit of art wrk.
Nice perspective! Very interesting point of view
Best wishes, Wolfgang
Good morning Wolfgang, I'm so pleased that you like this photo. The bridge crosses from Stavanger to the island of Grasholmen. It isn't very long, but it's a nice engineering subject.
I love the strong diagonals in this pic. It reminds me of a pic I took of the Golden Jubilee Bridge in London.
Best wishes from Scotland, Joe
Hello Joe - so where's the link? I love to compare the two. Glad you like the diagonals - I suspect that everyone who has ever walked across this bridge has taken the same shot ;-)
Amelia, I have uploaded it, you will find it here.
I love the unusual composition of this, Amelia. As Nick said at the beginning, that eye is working very well! Marilyn
Here I am again - late as usual Marilyn. You have gone through my gallery very thoroughly my dear friend, and you have posted some lovely comments, thank you. I hope I haven't missed any others.
