When I was a kid in the early 1950's these were still rolling the roads in deepest north Dorset!!!

So good to see one again:) Thanks Ray ~~~ Ciao nick

Hi -Nick_,

I bet that you like I walked along side to watch these monsters clanging through our Village?

The noise and smell was better than any TV Soap!!!!!

My Mum and Dad couldn’t afford a TV, who cared? Moments like this were better!

Ah the trips down memory lane hey Ray ~ what a pair of old fogies we sound perhaps :) Yes I did like to walk near to the roller, but I kept a jolly good look as to where my feet were going!!

Like you we had no TV, so on rare occasions a trip to a friend's house who had one a couple of miles away was a treat.

All the very best to you in La Belle France from nick in la wet roast beef country
