The Cage Pollard at Burnham Beeches Nature Reserve

Wow - I could really paint that - what country is it in?

Thanks Russel, it's a great tree isn't it? It's been featured in the film 'Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves'.

Burnham Beeches (home to this and other great trees) is in the UK - I've now updated the photo location - and is about 15 miles west of London.

Hi, I really like your photo and would like to print it off to put it up as a poster. I'm a postgrad ecological research student at Stirling Uni, and am hoping to do some work at Burnham Beeches. I'd like to brighten up the corridor outside my office, and this picture is both beautiful and relevant to my work. Can I have your permission for me to do this, or do you charge for the copyright?

Hi Liam, Glad you like the picture and I certainly wouldn't charge, I'm just pleased someone likes it enough to print it out. You may also want to check out my picture of the amazing Ballerina tree - also at the beeches.

Good luck with your post grad work and with doing work at the beeches - it is a great place - I used to be one of their volunteers.
