we went to maniwaya island last summer, my friends decided that we will just camp near the shore, maniwaya is definitely a beautiful island, we asked the management of palo maria beach resort if we could camp outside of their frontyard for a day and if we can use the comfort rooms. The "Care taker" told us that there is 20 peso fee for using the CR and thats all, theres no problem with that and we thank them so much for being so kind to us coz they allow us to camp. Then the following day when we are about to leave the island . A certain former Barangay Captain approached us and asking us a 200 hundred pesos fee for an overnight stay in the frontyard, we thought its just 200 for all of us but its 200 pesos individually. My goodness... why did they not told us in the first place that there is a such FEE for just camping overnight to their front yard, if we just know in the first place we cud possibly look for another affordable cottage to rent. So we have no choice we are forced to pay what fee that ex Kapitan is asking but we asked for an official receipt since he said that he is a member of tourism office of Marinduque. He became irritated and he throw the 500 pesos that my friend gave to him. What an attitude,,, I wont advice you guys to try palo maria beach resort, there are many resort near it. That is more affordable and will never act that way to a tourist.. Enjoy Maniwaya Island but not with the Ex kapitan's resort
