As a child I attended a camp about 8 km from this spot. We campers would hike to the falls and swim at its base when the nearby fish hatchery was still open. The hatchery has since stopped operating, but the pool at the base remains. Watch out for mosquitos - you can't see them here, but they exist, and you'd better believe it! indyj@rogers.com

Hi David: So true...the Highway 141 cascades are real charmers! Hatchery Falls is a classic, but so is Minnehaha - a secret gem in the woods. I'd never seen Lower Rosseau Falls till last month, but it has quickly risen to being among my favorites - when the water's flowing, that is! Best wishes, Indy

Very nice! I live in Hamilton and there are tons to see around here. Webster's and Tew's are among my favourites however i like a lot of the lesser known ones too as they can be great for pictures!

Yes, David, I know your work very well and how impressive it is. I visit cityofwaterfalls.ca frequently. I've also featured a lot of Hamilton waterfall shots in my Panoramio gallery, and have finished paintings of Websters Falls, Albion Falls, and Grindstone Cascade. You can also see these in my gallery. Keep up the great work - a worthwhile hobby indeed. I'm a bit jealous that I don't also live in Hamilton! From the other side of the GTA, Indy
