Must be my eyesight again - I could have sworn she was wearing a mini pair of sunglasses....

What a lovely cuddly looking animal, Amelia - looks like she has just emerged from the tumbledrier. It would be lovely to snuggle up tight against her on a cold wintry day. (I wonder if Sarel would mind me ordering one... Don't suppose eBay has any left..?) Maybe I should approach Nick Weall - he seems to be very sheepish nowadays..?? But does he know about Dala Sheep (apart from orange tags, that is)!

Cheers, Hazel

Our Nick knows a lot about sheep Hazel - especially bloat :((

I have looked for the lambs ever since Hazel - but not a sign. Perhaps they'll be there when I go back to Norway. She would make a lovely rug - but I hope the farmer doesn't think so. I'd definitely try eBay if I were you though :))))

Greetings, Amelia

I think Dali sheep might be more appropriate for you dear Hazel ~ I'm still not entirely satisfied that Amelia's fine beastie is a Dala sheep at all ~~ Norwegian Spael ~~ might be in this fine lassie ~~ Does Amelia think I'm bloated on maltesers? ~~ or the sheep on the real thing ~ gas that is ~~ it is all a bit of a let down really ~ perhaps Degas has been there already ~~ Art will know!!!

It certainly looks like Dala Amelia. You can read about it in norwegian Wikipedia..

Amelia Royan on October 18, 2009

So I have read that MIKjan, - how my Norwegian is improving - and it appears that the breed is a cross between Cheviot Leicester and Sutherland sheep. I ought to pay you tuition fees :)))

Aw she does look very similar doesn't she, it seems yours had had a shopping trip to Claire's Accessories :D A lovely shot!

Warmest wishes and a very happy new year to you

Thanks Sam. Yes there is a definite similarity to your sheep, but this one is definitely a poser with all the jewelry - she's accessory mad ;-)

Warm wishes to you and yours for a wonderful 2010, Amelia
