Covered by snow for 3-4 months of the year, this is the highest Beer Garden in Australia at a little under 1980m. Open all year round!

Mt Hotham's summit 1,861 metres Mt Hotham village 1,750 metres Victoria’s highest mountain, Mt Bogong 1,986 metres so this beer garden must be close to the top of Mt Bogong or did you mean 1780m? Who cares its a great view.

Ah yes, a typo! Thanks for pointing it out to me. Yes I did mean 1780m. What I am waiting for is for someone to dispute the 'highest beer garden', but I can't think of another one! This beer garden is in the process of disappearing as extentions to the The General take place. At least the view will remain! Again Thanks for your comments

Cheers James
