That's fun! Can I ask how you mount and trigger the E5600?

You bet!

I've changed my rig somewhat since I took this picture, and now use a different camera. But this is what it looked like:

Toward the end of that camera's time as an aerial camera, I'd swapped out the shutter servo and also added a lens hood of sorts:

Hey, if you're interested in doing KAP, do a search for "KAP" on Flickr Groups. You'll find groups for shots taken from kites, the rigs people use, the cameras they use, all of it. This is also a good place to look:

Where I got the bulk of my gear from.

Thanks for the great info! KAP is clearly yet another superfun time-sink I can add to the long list of things my wife shakes her head at! (Just kidding - she is amazingly tolerant.)

Greetings from Bainbridge Island.

Hahaha! True, true. My wife is pretty tolerant, too, since she also does photography, albeit from the ground.

As vices go, KAP isn't too bad. It gets you out of the house, there's lots of exercise involved, and any time someone tells you to go fly a kite you can actually take them up on it.

Besides, you never know... She might get into kites, too.

Have fun!
