marbiz, thank you! No, the snow has missed us here in the western part of North Carolina ... several times. Up north, in Kentucky, the snow has been terrible. There were deaths attributed to the cold and snow and loss of power for days and days. We only had about half an inch. But it has been extremely cold!

giors, yes, I lay my trap to get these photos, a pool of water just outside my window! I am enjoying my camera very much!

Mike, no, you much prefer the goblet to fighting over a bit of recently frozen water in a fake natural pool. We've got it made with our heat and lovely indoors, don't we?! Birds are such bird brains, aren't they?! Drinking right where they stand! tee hee!

Great words Jean but I have seen a lot of guys who stand anywhere and drink, misfortune being their main companion. I would not think these tiny feathered miracles are to be thought of as being in the same classification! I know that is not what you meant, but it is a way you can see my thought processes at work!(Just wait until one can again quoff from the goblet, or the tumbler containing-UISGE BEAG_, then you may notice awee difference!
