This beach can be reached on foot from the Quinta da Horta and is about half an hour's hard walking. For those less energetic and with a suitable vehicle, there is a nearby cliff top where you can leave your car. From the Quinta, take the beach road past Praia dos Caneiros and continue 1 km up the hill towards Carvoeiro. At the top of the hill, take the first turning to the right on an unmade dirt road. Keep bearing right towards the cliff tops in the direction of Ferragudo. At the top of the cliffs, you will find an old steel marker post about 2.5 meters high, 30 cm in diameter, originally painted red and white many years ago. From this post, walk 50 paces to the west, turn and look back at the post and you will see the entry to the cliff path. If, having seen the height, you feel confident, proceed very carefully down the path, which is a dried out gully, and after 100 meters or so you will find a rope descent for the last 10 meters to the sand. This beach is not normally crowded.

Thanks for advice, plan to go there in some weeks. I didn't get if the roop descent is vertical or a steep path with a roop to grab?

The rope descent is vertical, not verry easy!

Thanks again! Planned to go there today but we will choose the water-way instead with our children. (Wisited the beach north west of Bordeira on your untitled picture the other day, wonderful!)
