That's city!! Is it city? GGR.

It is a delightful church aesthetically, and whether from the City Hall tower looking down, or from the ground looking up it has much photographic appeal. Yes this is right at the centre of the city of Brisbane, the view taken from the clock tower of City Hall.

Thanks Eva and GGR. I send you very warm greetings,

Yan / Ian

I can't believe my eyes Ian .A very extreme contrast but it is a beautiful shot, excellent point of view here, very well done.

Greetings Arthur

I am delighted Arthur, as much at your surprise as at your affirmation. Thanks for your response.

It's wonderful that the beautiful old church survives among the concrete and glass behemoths.

Greetings from northern California,

Paul

Thanks Paul,

It is an icon in Brisbane. As the centre of Queensland Methodism for so long it has therefore been the venue for their conferences, and has a significant history. It has been home to many activities and from here have emanated many decisions that have been important in this region of the world. And those who have been married here seem to be proud of the fact.

My very best wishes, mate.

Very interesting photo...

Ian Stehbens on March 29, 2009

Hello FWWS,

You have been producing some remarkable images from photoshop, especially of the Dnepr! So I am most pleased that you would comment affirmingly on this untouched photo. I must admit it is an attractive church architecturally.

Kind regards,

Ian in Australia.
