Upon further review, the judges have determined that this is actually the owl from the old "how many licks to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" commercials.

Graham, please convey to your wife our most hearty appreciation of her work. She has kept us occupied with this for a good bit of time.

A little more definition about the feet would be helpful. And what about the tail? I'm in the lemming or hamster camp, myself. But either way, it's very charming!

Thank-you for your input Nawikta - but I think it should be born in mind also that this in England - we don't have lemmings and our hamsters are normally in captivity, as well as having very small ears. There is, on the other hand, a strong positive correlation between churches and cats, on account of the populations of less desirable rodents associated with them. Graham

Our auditors, Dewey, Skrewum, and Howwe have alerted us to the fact that all non-animated animal manifestations need to be registered with the proper authorities, and are required to have all proper and necessary shots and licenses. Please make certain that we are in total compliance with all regulations. Thank you for your prompt attention.

Thank-you for notifying me of the intentions of your committee not1word. I must to inform you, however, of my intention vigourously to contend the case on the grounds of supposed non-animacy. I re-visited the location only days after the occassion of my photographic expedition, and the alleged owl from the "how many licks to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" commercial was no longer present. Owls are notoriously averse to rain and this visit followed a sustained period od rain. The inference I would draw is that said animal manifestation had moved to avoid the rain and is therefore animate.

Yours etc etc
