Lake County Fairgrounds. The far sign says "LAKEVIEW TALLEST TOWN IN OREGON." Even though the PC bug has hit here in the hinterlands -- the cowboys on the signs on the highways leading into town have had their pistols pried from their cold dead hands (or more likely sawed off) -- it didn't spread here. Different jurisdiction?
I live in Klamath Falls, OR. For better or worse, this is avid gun territory and Lakeview, perhaps, even more so. I'd be seriously shocked if the pistol removal had anything to do with politics or tender feelings about gun control - more likely a high school senior prank. In fact, the pistols may have been shot off!

Anyway, it's an interesting "shot."
I grew up in Lakeview. 1949-1962, approximately, and my family lived there into the 1980s. I know that country well.
