In case you're wondering just how many photos I've taken of sunsets in Toulouse in one month: well, a lot. I can't help it that this great city has seemingly been blessed with an infinite number of variations of great skies. And I definitely can't resist taking shots of sunsets like this.

In addition to it being absolutely stunningly beautiful, there's a really nice atmosphere in the city in the summer; lots and lots of people enjoy are outside enjoying the evening, hanging out along the river banks, having a drink on one of the many terraces, or making pictures. (Not necessarily in that order, and they can be combined :) ) Yes, I love that city.

Other summer sunsets in Toulouse:

From Place des Carmes

"La ville en rose"

Pont St Pierre at twilight

Toulouse essentials (panorama)

Airbus A380 into the sunset

Between yellow and blue

I've just entered in the February NPC contest; it's number 151. (Wow, so many entries!)

Mooi man!

Thank you Gab for the kind words.

Kind regards to you both,

Bruce, that's a great comment and compliment you give me there. Many thanks for that. Probably the greatest compliment on one's picture can be that they want to be there! (At least, with this type of photo...)

Kind regards, Justin

A pastel masterpiece Justin. Worth my vote for sure. What a blessing to have such beautiful sunsets in this setting. I'm a bit jealous my friend. :)

Best regards, Tom

P.S. Purple, or maybe violet, galore in this one. :)

Guido Musch on February 9, 2009

Ja heel mooi! Die NPC geeft wel veel views zeg.. :)

You sound just like me my two fav time of day sunrise/set. one of my votes in NPC steve

Nicolas, Gastone, Carla, Tom, Guido, Steve, thank you all for all your kind words. I'm pleasantly surprised by the response on this shot.

Nicolas, it sure was pink ;) Although the name applies more to the pink-red colour of the bricks they used to build the city, it apparently applies very well to the skies as well.

Gastone, I appreciate you stopping by, and I'm very glad you like this photo.

Carla, nice to hear I wouldn't be the only taking pictures of a spectacle like this :) Although I knew that already, there were quite a few photos taking this night I think!

Tom, I still like the purple galore better ;) Great to hear from you my friend, and I'm honoured by your jealousy. If you come over to this side over the pond once, I'd gladly show you around Amsterdam, Paris or Toulouse (all great cities) and catch the best sunsets together. No need for jealousy then. :)

Steve, I think sights like this make every photographers blood run faster :) Although I do have to admit that sunrise is usually a bit too early for me, I'm more of a night owl :) Thanks in advance for the vote!

Best regards to you all,
