what's the reason this pretty little town is dying? i cannot believe. there are so many lovely houses and buildings.

not sure really, it is on a heavily traveled road. just doesn't seem to be able to keep business for one reason or another. there is a lovely hotel but it cannot get insurance due to an open faced fireplace so it sits closed, and there is so little of any thing else that there is no reason to go there.

The Ones Who Know Best have decided that it's best if we all move to the big cities and urbanize together. So much better for economies, mass transit and global climate panic, don'tcha know. So, having determined that their way is the best way, they make sure that the odd thinking folk who insist on living w-a-a-a-a-a-y out there don't manage to profit from not being part of the Gemütlichkeit.

And another small town dies.
