I was amazed about your message and I was thinking that I could take some photographs from Fuente de Frances and ask some of the neighbours over there if they have ever heard about Puente family that was born here. All of my family was born close to Fuente del Frances( Hoznayo). Fuente del Frances keeps being a magic spot.

Thanks for responding to my post. If you are nearby and could ask some of the neighbors if they remember any of my family, that would be terrific.

My father was Paul Faustino Puente, but he left Spain when he was 16 years old, went to America, and never returned.

My grandfather's name was José Blanco Puente.

My grandmother's name was Gumersinda Añorga Guerra.

My father told stories about playing in the caves and stream that you took pictures of. The picture of the stone ruin is the remains of an old mill that was used to grind corn and wheat. My sister visited in 1970 and only 2 of my father's sisters were still alive and they were quite old then.

If you are in that area and ask anybody about the Puente family and they happen to know any relatives that live nearby, please get in touch with me. Also, my sister and I can't figure out what the building is at the top of the hill. Any ideas or did you see any signs?

Also, would you give me permission to copy these 5 pictures or could you send them to me via email? I am doing genealogy research and creating a family history book for my children and would love to have these pictures. I have so few pictures of my father and none of the home that he grew up in.

I'm searching for my some of my family whom I have not seen since 1979. I was able to track down my aunt to this area, Holmes Beach, but was later told she'd moved up to Tallahassee. Her name is Gena Lynn Baxley Calvary Johnson, and she had 2 or 3 kids who would now be adults of course. We all grew up in the Lakeland-Auburndale area of Florida. I'm also looking for my uncle, her brother, Ben Baxley, who is currently living in Clermont, FL. If anyone knows either of these people, can you please pass this info on to them in hopes of a reunion.
