Ja, daar heb je ze! Eindelijk!

Ever considered putting a wallaby on your plate? Paul

They really struck me by surprise and my first thought was your picture, Paul! Our rabits seem to have a multicultural appearence! But I can't say if these little guys are for putting on a plate?

Dank dir Ulrich.

Hi Thei, I hadn't realised it was a surprise for you, I thought it was planned - so much the better then, great capture. You should go rabbit hunting more often :-)

We call these rabbits "wallabies". They're not kangaroos at all. If you look closely you can see that they are smaller and stockier. Wallabies live in thick bushland or amongst rocks, you will never see them out in open fields like kangaroos.

And we do eat them (and kangaroos), but not in a big way; it's still considered a bit of a novelty.

Groeten, Paul

TheiMoors ... When I first saw these creatures I almost fell off my bike! What the bloody hell are a mob of wallabies doing in a Limburg paddock! Now whenever I have visitors from overseas (especially my Australian friends), I like to casually ride by and see their reaction! I appreciated your dry Dutch sense of humour in calling them "rabbits" ... gave me a chuckle.
