Beautiful scene kamaly, bit unusual for me to be the first to comment here, but I am glad for the opportunity. Cheers. M

M only just made it to first, there was no comments when I came on here. Love the soft colours again, I presume that is ice on the water, Cheers, Dianne

I've just heard on our news networks that 60 of your countrymen have come to assist in our fire fighting efforts. It will be a welcome relief for our firefighters.

There are also firemen from Canada and New Zealand who have arrived here to help. We are very grateful.

Thanks marbiz, dianne, and Tonia.J

marbiz - it hasn't been in the news as much - but it sounds like the fires are still burning? So sad. But glad that the firefighters from our west coast can help.

its interesting to see the water in the river iced over. lovely tone in the sky. fires are not good for the animals as well or humans. the truly sad part they think some where lit by humans......steve

HI Steve! and actually, we'd been having warm weather, and a lot of hte ice had broken up - a week or two before, the river was all ice up to the bridge I was standing on here. Even more remarkable since the river is still tidal here. The day after I took this shot, the ice was flowing up the river on the tide!
