C’è pure tanta gente che cerca di salire su, da Ficuzza verso Alpe Cucco, dove la neve è sempre più alta ed il paesaggio è ancora più bello.
Si formano le prime code. L’auto che è in testa perde l’aderenza, si ferma, non riesce più a ripartire e torna indietro, intimorendo e coinvolgendo gli altri accodati.
I più temerari, quelli con l’auto giovane, osano qualche centinaio di metri in più, ma anche per loro c’è lo stesso risultato. Le ruote che litigano con il ghiaccio, fino a fermarsi.
C’è tanto fervore per cercare di salire.
Gli irriducibili provano pure con le catene, tanta fatica per montarle, ma è lo stesso.
Lo strato di neve ghiacciata e la pendenza vincono su ESP, ABS, TCS, catene.
All’improvviso, s’ode il suono di una marmitta di altri tempi. Volgo lo sguardo e resto ammirato.
Tre giovani spensierati, con una bella ragazza alla guida, salgono semplicemente con una 500 bianca come la neve.
Il ghiaccio sembra rispettare quelle ruote.
Dove le auto giovani si sono arrese, lei sale, sale, sale, con un connubio di grinta e modestia, superando tutti e lasciandoci piacevolmente a bocca aperta …
Today is Saturday February 14th, and it’s snowing.
Palermitans are not used to see the snow, so many people are trying to climb up, from Ficuzza towards Alpe Cucco, where the snow is always higher and the landscape is more beautiful too.
Formed the first car’s rows begin to form. The car on the top loses its grip, it stops, it’s no more able to restart and came back, frightening and involving the others cars in row.
The most brave, those one with new generation cars, dare advancing a few hundred meters more, but the result is the same: wheels fighting the ice, until stopping.
There is so much ardour in trying to climb.
The irreducible try well with the snow chains; so much effort to mount them, but no result again.
The layer of snow and ice and the inclination win against ESP, ABS, TCS, and snow chains.
Suddenly, we hear the sound of a muffler of the past. I turn my eyes and rest admired.
Three carefree young men, with a beautiful girl driving, simply go up with a white FIAT 500, white as snow.
The ice seems to respect those wheels.
Where the new cars renounced, it goes up, up, up, with a marriage of flair and modesty, overcame every one, and leaving us pleasantly astonished…

traordinaria( è proprio il caso di dirlo) immagine che ritrae una Sicilia per me quasi sconosciuta, ma che mi affascina moltissimo, c'è tanto da vedere nella nostra regione, dal mare alla montagna e non manca nulla.
Molto divertente l'aneddoto, non c'è tecnolgia ( ESP, ABS, TCS) che tenga al confronto d'una 500 d'altri tempi..
ahahahahaha, anche io ho avuto alla 500. In pratica come prime auto ho sempre racimolato le utilitarie quando stavano diventando modelli datati. Come questa, la Renault 4 o la 2CV. Anche un pulmino VW arancione. Quanto inquinare... Ciao Andrea
