Thank you, Dziwnow! It is a beautiful design by a North American Indian, native to the Pacific coast. Greetings from Canada! Theolfa
Wow, so wonderful! It's almost to pretty to just leave it there!
I agree, Erik, it is a work of art & Vancouver is lucky to have these beautiful manhole covers. Theolfa
I like the pattern, by the way you have my vote, for this picture,Slán leat! Aurelius
Thanks, Aurelius, I appreciate it but I didn't ralise I had any pics to vote for? I don't enter any, so it's a puzzle. Go raibh maith agat!
Lovely, and simple, and interesting. This thumbnail definitely needs to be opened to appreciate it. Lucky Vancouver, and lucky you for seeing this one Theolfa :)
Lucky Vancouver, indeed. Haida Indian art is flourishing and I'm sure most people have seen at least one picture of a totem pole. Cheers! Theolfa
I should have read your first reply Theolfa. That will teach me!! :)
Sometimes, we are so busy looking at the pictures, we neglect the prose, and that's sometimes saves us from being influenced by other peoples opinions. Your opinion matters. Theolfa
hola theolfabuena captura y bonita composicion (todas sas caras ..)recibe un saludo boskimano
This is interesting. This manhole cover is actually a piece of genuine art. I wonder what the figures mean.
Hi, Marianne! I was so mpressed with Vancouver's artistic manhole covers, I believe they are all different and chosen from a design competition. I am guessing this is a Haida design and it looks like four whales with faces inside. I wish I knew more. Cheers! Theolfa
Whales? Hm. Looks like cod to me :-DD
I don't think there is cod on the Pacific coast, Marianne, but let's just call them very big fish ;D
