Wedding bouquet sadly frozen
Here you see one of the two wedding bouquets who where placed on a piece of wood at the entrance of the Church. After the ceremony they where taken to Herbergerie het Landleven and placed outside at the entrance. The intention was to take them inside later on. This was completely forgotten and all the lovely flowers where frozen overnight.
The Bouquet stayed well as long as the frost remained.

Thank you, Erik. It is quite a surprise to see kangaroo paw in a flower arrangement in NL! Kangaroo paw are used to frost, for though they grow well in frost free areas, they also grow in the inland where heavy frosts are experienced in winter.
I am sure you had a wonderful celebration!
Gratefully,
Ian
