Beautiful shot B-n-P! I see the gulls have had dinner and are looking for a toothpick.

diannemcd on February 17, 2009

Wow Wow Wow B-n-P what a stunning sunset, the sky is amazing, and just brilliant composition. Your last two photos will surely be making Kamaly envious.

Bits-n-Pieces on February 17, 2009

Thanks dianne ! She was off photographing owls, and didn't even see this!

And Thanks Guy - lol, I guess they must be Boy Gulls, then ;) Good of you to remember what this is - and it's base is a big barnacle!

LOL, you must be the brother with Money, who's familiar with the back of a One Dollar Bill!

Excellent shot, Mega-Bits. Your choice to have El Sol just starting to peek under the cloud is a good 'un. Mega-Good shot!

Bits-n-Pieces on February 18, 2009

Mega-thanks, not1word ! Now if I could just win Mega-bucks!....

The architect did a great job by putting this building right under the sun.

not1word on February 22, 2009

Yes, planning ahead at its very finest, to be sure.

Bits-n-Pieces on February 23, 2009

You have it backwards, guys! The sun was so taken by the structure that it moved so that it could be right over it!

Sorta like a meatball on a stick.

Ritva Astikainen on February 24, 2009

WOW!

AndreyMos on February 24, 2009

Cool "fiery" sunset! Great shot!

Bits-n-Pieces on February 25, 2009

Thanks Ippa and AndreyMos ! I was pretty happy when I realized the sun would be coming out from under the clouds right lined up with this monument.

And not1word - for me, this actually brings back those terrible childhood memories of dropping an ice-cream cone! But this time, it looks like it was the cone that dropped, and the ice cream stuck to the clouds!

not1word on February 25, 2009

An anti-gravity ice cream cone. You could make a fortune off that idea, Bits.

Bits-n-Pieces on February 26, 2009

Thanks for the bright idea not1word ! It must be SPAM ice-cream, on its way to Heaven...

not1word on February 26, 2009

Mmmmmmmm...SPAM ice creammmmmmmmmmm...

Thank you for your visit Flinstone, but I find contest advertizing offensive.

Happy Snapper on February 27, 2009

nice pic but really i just read your bit on people touting there photos in the competition... its not a competition its an election... one average photo of a rock on a beach and a seagull has had 12000 hits becauas the owner of such advertizes it .if 1 third of them vote i think it will win when there are so many amazing photos on this site that have 30 hits .completely unfair..
