thanks very much peargrin, urbi, and sabine ! it was really a unique experience.
WOW - how cute is this!!! Instinctively looking for the hiding place but.....!!!
Thanks Sonny ! He'd fly from snow patch to white log to snow patch. And it was funny when he was here - some people really didn't see him!
This is beautiful!
Thanks very much Michele ! Couldn't ask for a more accommodating owl model. He's been at this state reservation for many weeks now, and doesn't seem to be bothered by the flocks of photographers that stalk him daily. So many of us have been able to get some really great shots.
I'd love to see one of these, beautiful shot kamaly.
Hi Helen - Thanks! But since they tend to be arctic birds, and are just here in New England in the winter ( which they find tropical here) I have a feeling you wouldn't want to have to suffer through the winter for the opportunity. But it was a beautiful bird to watch - and very compliant, letting the hordes of photographers get close and take lots of shots of him.
What a nice ... Beautiful photos....
Thanks very much mokosha - This type of brid is an uncommon winter visitor, so it was pretty special to see him and have a chance to get this close. Cheers!
Sitting on the last patch of snow
he thinks you don't know
he is there with his stare
He? Who's 'he' ? I just shot a photo of a patch of snow! :D Thanks Teri!
