Thanks Dianne, Tonia, Don and Steve ! There was sure a lot of waiting to get this. He'd been dozing on a picnic table, but once it got near sunset, seemed it was time to perch in the tree to look for some supper. and yeah, I bet Guy's green with envy over this - All he can get are those dime-a-dozen eagles, herons, and a few rare seagulls and crows! .

Careful, kamaly. Guy'll haul out one of his patented sunset shots with an eagle perched on top of a Jeep that's balanced on the nose of a seal, just to show you that it can be done.

THIS, however, is a marvelous shot! I think I even like it more that he's flying away from us. Spectacular!

Thanks not1word ! It's pretty cool to see the tail feathers like that, isn't it? And the feet look like cat's feet! (I got some shots of him grooming his feet, too.)

And I guess the warning about taunting Guy came a little too late. I sure hope that's not a snowy owl in his new shot!

What a shot kamaly, I love the open flaps and the landing gear still down. excellent capture.

Thanks Cal ! it was a very short flight. Just a Puddle Jumper - so he never retracted them, luckily for me! I think their feet are so cool.

Thanks Sonny ! I spent a few hours watching the bird, along with about 50 other people. But it was well worth it to be a paparazzi for a day for this little guy!

And late Thanks also Mustafa Erkek . Cheers!
